HARBOUR HAIR

Booking Terms

Last updated: 13 October 2026

These terms explain how booking online with Harbour Hair Salon works: how we confirm your request, when a deposit is held and when it is taken, and what happens if you cancel or change your appointment.

How online booking works

When you book on this website, you send us a request. Your appointment is booked once we confirm it, and we email you when we do.

Online requests need at least 2 hours’ notice, so that we have time to confirm them. For an earlier time, please call us.

To book online, you need an account with a confirmed email address.

Deposits

Some services need a deposit. If yours does, the booking page shows the amount before you enter your card details.

When you send your request, we place a hold on your card for the deposit. A hold is not a payment: we only take the money when we confirm your booking.

The deposit counts towards the price of your appointment. You pay the rest in the salon.

Your card details are handled by Square, our payment provider. They go straight to Square; we never see them.

If we can’t confirm your request

If we decline your request, or don’t confirm it in time, we release the hold and you are not charged.

A request we haven’t confirmed doesn’t go ahead, and its hold is released: when we decline it, once its appointment time has passed, or when the hold expires. A hold lasts up to 7 days from when you send your request.

Your bank may take a few days to remove a released hold from your account.

Cancelling

You can withdraw a request we haven’t confirmed yet at any time in My Bookings. We release the hold and you are not charged.

You can cancel a confirmed booking in My Bookings up to 24 hours before your appointment, and we refund your deposit in full.

Less than 24 hours before your appointment, please call us to cancel.

If you cancel less than 24 hours before your appointment, or don’t come to it, we may keep your deposit.

If we have to cancel your appointment, we refund your deposit in full.

Refunds

Refunds go back to the card you paid with. Most banks show them within 5–10 working days; some take up to 14.

Changing your appointment

To move a confirmed booking to another time, send a request in My Bookings at least 24 hours before your appointment, for a new time at least 24 hours away. Your booking stays at its original time until we confirm the change.

To change a request we haven’t confirmed yet, withdraw it and send a new one.

Your deposit moves with your booking: you don’t pay it again, and it isn’t refunded because the time changed.

Patch tests and consultations

Some services need a consultation first. Colour services also need a skin patch test at least 48 hours before your colour appointment, and a patch test stays valid for 6 months. The booking page tells you when this applies, so that you can book the Consultation & Patch Test first.

Your rights

You can cancel a confirmed booking online up to 24 hours before your appointment for a full refund of your deposit, or contact us at any time before your appointment. We only keep a deposit for a late cancellation or a missed appointment, and only if the salon decides to — never more than the deposit. Your statutory rights are not affected.

Questions

To cancel or change your appointment at short notice, or with any question about a booking or a deposit, call us on 07831 830898 or speak to us in the salon. Our full details are on our contact page.

How we use your personal information, including payment details, is explained in our privacy policy.
